Clutter impacts your space and blocks energy. Blocked energy in your is reflected in your home, much of the time. And blocked energy is a side effect of negative energy flow. This is something I talk about A LOT! But recently, I started digging into Feng Shui - and while it isn't something I fully resonate with, there are certain things that I feel aligned with. I want to share those parts I have been using within my own space and hopefully inspire you do the same with your home as you work through your clutter.

PS - This episode was set to air following episode 292 but it got pushed back a few weeks. So before you listen to this episode, head back a few weeks and tune into Episode 292 🙂

🤩 Things that clog the energy of your space

❓Why clutter brings stagnant energy into your home

🏠 The parts of Feng Shui she is using within her home and the impact it has had to the energy of her home

We are diving into Mommy Juice (aka wine) culture; from knowing when you are taking it too far to ways you can put yourself in check to defining what a healthy relationship with alcohol for YOU is. Joining me for this conversation is my friend, Michelle Smith. Her story is POWERFUL, and I know you will feel loved (not ashamed) as you listen to her share. Mama's, I see you. You are doing better than you think.

Michelle Smith is a bestselling author, keynote speaker, and the founder of Recovery is the New Black, a digital community for women living or exploring an alcohol-free life. Michelle struggled for years with alcohol addiction that looked like “overdoing it.” In reality, she was drinking to escape the stresses of life---and the “mommy juice” drinking culture was helping her self-destruct. Since getting sober in 2016, she integrates both her personal experience in recovery and professional experience as a mental health and addiction advocate toward normalizing sobriety in our boozy culture.

In this episode Allie + Michelle discuss:

⚾ Plastic vs fragile balls that moms juggle and how to decide what to hold onto and what to let go of

🍷 When alcohol moves from being something you enjoy to something you use as a coping mechanism

🤩 How to handle being sober in a society that normalizes drinking + social drinking

💛 What a healthy relationship with alcohol looks like

We've heard about post-partum depression and post-partum anxiety, but what about post-partum anger? What about the out-of-nowhere rage a mom can experience after having a baby OR even the general mom-rage that comes throughout motherhood?

Friends, things get very vulnerable in this episode. I have brought Jessie Ereddia on the show to discuss mom rage. I've shared bits of my post-partum story and am excited to dive in a bit more with Jessie. This conversation is something I think we all can relate to, in one way or another. I hope it encourages you.

Angry mom turned empowered mom, Jessie Ereddia is a Certified Anger Management Coach who helps moms manage their anger and change their motherhood experience. Since 2017, she has been the host of the Mom Empowered Podcast, where she often shares her own journey of navigating postpartum rage, learning to manage her anger and anxiety, and her unique process for equipping moms to do the same. Jessie and her husband Grant are in the thick of parenthood with their three young daughters and reside in Atlanta, GA.

In this episode Allie and Jessie discuss:

💛 The differences between postpartum depression, anxiety, and anger

💛 Solutions for anger + rage in motherhood

💛 Having empathy for yourself will help you unlock answers + solutions to the anger or rage you are experiencing

Enjoy being with your kids ... you aren't frustrated or annoyed that they are constantly pulling on your or needing you during the day.

When you live in a perpetual state of stress, your body and mind don't know how to live without it. So when you don't feel stress, you end up creating it because you only know how to live in a state of stress. That is NOT the purposeful life you are meant to live, friend.

We are going to dig deep into what it looks like to prioritize YOU ... without the mom guilt. Because you deserve to enjoy being with you kids every day. You don't deserve to feel frustrated or annoyed because they need you. So I have brought Elizabeth Andreyevsky on the show because she has SO much wisdom to share with you about this, and I know it is going to change your motherhood.

Elizabeth is a stress coach for moms. She is the host of Emotionally Healthy Legacy podcast and a mom of 4. Elizabeth is super passionate about mental health and emotional wellness in motherhood. She helps overwhelmed moms reduce the mental stress so they can respond with patience and calm towards their kids. She teaches proactive ways to be less stressed, prioritizing moms needs without guilt and ways to regulate emotions when feeling triggered.

✨ How stress impacts your whole self - especially your emotions

🤩 Ways you can manage your stress IN motherhood (yes, it is possible!)

You can change your entire life in one second because all it takes is THE decision to act different, be different, think different, and elevate above where you have been. And in this episode, we are taking that deeper. We are going to talk about how to follow that decision with action over the course of 3 months — and the things you can do to change everything within those 3 months. Let's make some shifts, babes. We can do this, together ❤️

In this episode Allie discusses:

🤩 What led to the current change in her eating habits + how she is focused on shifting that part of her life in this season.

💛 Why defining your desires is vital to shifting your life (tapping into who YOU desire to be, not who you think you should be)

💥 Focusing on ONE main area per month for 3 months (yes, just ONE per month!)

🫶 The power of putting support in every area of your life that pushes you toward that change

Our culture (especially mom culture) tells us that self-sacrifice is glorified and that being a martyr to your family and kids is like wearing a badge of honor. But ... when we silence ourselves + continue living in this way, we send a subconscious message to our mind that our wants, opinions, and needs do NOT matter. And ultimately, this determines our self-worth.

So let's put an end to this toxic thinking and culture around us — let's set some boundaries, find our voice, and authentically and unapologetically value ourselves.

Amy Smith Green is a certified and credentialed life coach and hypnotherapist, masterful speaker, and personal empowerment expert. Amy uses her roles as coach, writer, podcaster, and speaker to move individuals to a place of radical personal empowerment and self-worth.

In this episode Allie + Amy discuss:

❌ Why we are compelled NOT to set boundaries.

🤩 How to figure out where boundaries are needed in your life

❤️ The core meaning of worthiness and the powerful role it plays in developing boundaries in your life

When you are leveling up, so much of what you use every day stops feeling good. Whether that is your wardrobe, skin care, business model, homeschool routine, family rhythms, personal care - they just stop working for you and supporting you in that new level. You are feeling cluttered in your own space now that you have reached a new level. If you feel like an alien in your own space ... that is ok. This is SO normal and such a good sign. It shows growth.

But if you don't deal with that clutter, you risk blocking growth in that new level. So let's dive into this and talk about clutter in this new level. I got you, babe.

In this episode Allie discusses:

🤩 Signs that you are unleveling and stepping into a new level of who you are becoming.

🖤 Feeling uncomfortable in your space as you level up and why it is so important to be aware of that feeling

☺️ Becoming ok with these changes; admit that you're changing and start decluttering the things around you that are no longer serving who you are becoming.

I have a different kind of interview on today's episode. Let's call it a reverse interview. Initially, I sat down with Dr. Nicole Beurkens on her podcast, Happier & Healthier to discuss decluttering your environment and life (one of my fav conversations to have!). I loved this back and forth conversation with Dr. Nicole so much, that I asked her if I could repurpose it on my podcast. And friends, I truly CANNOT wait for you to listen to this episode! In this episode I am opening up about the last year, the moving pieces, and ultimately how this beautiful shift took place in the BEST way possible. ❤️ Brian and I came to this decision together and it has been super smooth + positive. We don't like the word divorce (it's a really negative word in our world) so we decided to call our situation what it is ... we are unmarried. We aren't a couple, but we are a family. Our kids come first and still see mom and dad being the best friends we always have been, without the romantic side. My hope in this episode is that you walk away seeing divorce from another perspective; a lighter, less heavy perspective.

Today we are going to GET ORGANIZED! A few months ago I hit a place where I just needed a reboot in terms of my schedule. A lot of things shifted and the things I needed to do become super specific and high pressure that my current organization system was no longer supporting. So I reset my system and I want to share that with YOU!

My process focuses heavily on anchors + routines. And while I walk through it through the lens of running my business, this foundational process can apply to ANY area of life. Whether that is running your home, your personal life, your corporate job ... truly, anything! I hope this episode encourages you to #getorganized and figure out what rhythms work for you, your life, and your home. And if they aren't you have the power to change that 😉

In this episode Allie discusses:

⚓ What anchors are and how you can create rhythms around them.

✨ Her step by step process in getting her week organized.

❤️ Why it is important to know your energy tank as you map out your rhythms (this is KEY!)

Your morning routine has the power to set you up for success for the rest of your day — it should work FOR you and bring ease to your life. It should not be rigid or driven by rules, but be fluid and personal.

Every new season of my life usually brings a shift in my morning routine. And the one thing I have learned is this: If it's hard to stick to, it's not actually serving you.

Before you create a morning routine you have to define what a successful day means to YOU (and only you can define that). For me, I want to be happy, feel good, and be really present. That is my foundation for a morning routine that gets me ready to experience THAT success. And I know you can experience that same success everyday. Pop in your headphones, grab a notebook or open your notes app, and let's create a morning routine that works FOR you.

I want to see your routines! Tag me on Instagram as you figure out your routine and even as you live it out. I cannot wait to see YOU living our your definition of success, babe.

In this episode Allie discusses:

🤩 Why it is important to define what a successful day is for YOU before you create a morning routine

Hello 2023 ✨ We are kicking off this year putting one question to rest — Is it enough for me to spend 5 minutes on myself everyday? Friend, stop asking yourself this question. YES. Yes it is enough and you don't need to ask yourself permission for that time anymore. You are worthy of that time and deserve that time. It's not about the time you are giving yourself, it is about you knowing that you deserve that time.

In this episode Allie discusses:

  1. Why you need to stop asking yourself if time for you is ok
  2. Shifting your mindset from "what's enough" to "what do I need"
  3. How you can honor and value yourself throughout your day in a way that feels good to you

"I Am Enough" was a book I read earlier this year and it has landed in my top 5 books of 2022, and I knew I wanted to round out this years podcast episodes having a conversation with the incredible author, Marisa Peer.

Spending decades working as a therapist, she found that most issues point back to one belief: I am not enough. If you are not enough, then you are needing something more. But if you know you are enough, you can have more but not need it. If you are feeling like you are not enough ____ (fill in the blank to whatever that is), this message is for you.

Marisa is going to walk through how to overcome shame and rewire your brain to believe (and live out) that you ARE enough. As you head into 2023, I hope you can walk in the confidence that you truly are enough.

In this episode Allie AND Marisa discuss:

  • Enoughness; what it is, where it comes from, and why it matters
  • Where you should begin to believe that truly you are enough
  • Making shame and hurt familiar (it's a powerful thing you HAVE to understand!)
  • Self talk - what to avoid and how to affirm yourself

Let's talk about the reality of showing up online. People see where I am now and see the confidence I have online and don't realize the struggle I faced at the beginning.

Friend, I would have panic attacks even thinking about going live on Instagram or showing up for my online community. I would freak out thinking about being judged or negative comments.

But if like me, you have a social media account that supports your business you HAVE to overcome your fear of being seen online. Don't let them control you or stop you from the message you are meant to share with the world. You got this, babe. Let's dive into this together.

In this episode Allie discusses:

  • The early days of going live on Instagram and the anxiety she experienced.

  • How you can make unfamiliar things familiar to you that helps settle your anxiety around doing something that feels scary (like showing up online!)

  • Stepping into a place of neutrality — it is the very thing that will help you overcome your fears.

What do you want? This is a question that I want you to sit with as you listen to this episode. As moms (well really as women), we are conditioned to never ask ourselves this question because it is selfish and irrelevant because we have a million things to juggle. But I want to break that mold.

What do you want for yourself? For your family? Your relationships? Your career? What do you want? Admit it. Admit that you want something that you haven't let yourself have, haven't let yourself think about, or haven't shared with someone. Be real with yourself.

So friend, sit still with a cup of coffee or go for a walk, and ask yourself ... what do you want?

Have you ever wondered how feminine energy plays into how you run your business (or your life)? Learning about the different sides of energy has been a game changer for me and has helped me to grow, strengthen, and deepen every area of my business. Because as you dive into your feminine energy, connect with your gifts, and understanding who you are ... you will be able to authentically share it with the world.

But I am not the expert on this topic, so I have my friend, Maleah Gordon on the show to talk about this and break it down for you. Grab something to take notes! This episode is PACKED with such goodness.

In this episode Allie + Maleah discuss:

  • Foot zoning; what it is and how powerful it is in your holistic journey.
  • Masculine versus feminine energy 101 (they break this down in an easy to understand way)
  • Ways you can shift into your feminine energy within your business.

Allyson Byrd is BACK for another incredible conversation! And this one is all about money + the flow of abundance. BUT it is also about so much more than that. We chat about all things money, flow of abundance, and mindset, but we also dive into different areas that you may not realize are blindspots that are holding you back from experiencing abundance. This episode is life-giving. It is encouraging. It is vulnerable. And it is challenging. It's not your typical conversation around money. This is powerful stuff and I KNOW it will help you shift your life. In this episode Allie + Allyson discuss:

  • Societal programming — what it is, where it comes from, and the 3 basic ways it appears in your life.
  • Why the law of harmony is vital to understand when it comes to money mindset (we can't bank on the universe to be our lucky charms box )
  • Stop doing life on your own. Doing life with (the right) others will bring you more success in life than you could ever accomplish on your own.

"Parenting is the hardest job we'll ever do, but it is possible to shift into a mindset where it doesn't feel so heavy." This hit HOME for me as I sat and chatted with my friend, Dr. Hilary Mandzik. She is a licensed psychologist, parenting specialist, and mom of 3 who is passionate about helping people parent in a way that truly feels good - for both parents and kids - and breaking unhelpful generational cycles. And in this episode she shares THREE things that moms need to stop doing today that will bring instant change to their family. I am not going to type the 3 things out because I really want you to listen, take this in, and take action. You've got this mama!

In this episode Allie and Dr. Hilary discuss:

  • The societal pressures to push our kids emotions aside and tell them to just "brush it off."
  • Parents are not cruises ship directors - we don't need to plan entertainment all day. Our kids can and should be bored (it's actually what their brains need!)
  • How parents should embrace imperfection and use it as a model for their kids

Being feminine is so beautifully portrayed in becoming a mother. But the messaging in society doesn't support that. Feminism is all about receiving but motherhood is all about giving. Ultimately, the misunderstanding of feeling like we need to constantly give, give, give comes from an unhealed part of ourselves. To dive into that healing, we need to learn how to be loving (with ourselves and others).

I am so excited to chat about all of this (and so much more!) with Danielle LaPorte. She is an author and chart-topping podcast host, and a member of Oprah’s SuperSoul 100. Her most recent book is called How To Be Loving and speaks to when your heart is breaking open and the world is waking up. Danielle is also the author of The Fire Starter Sessions, The Desire Map, White Hot Truth, and producer of dozens of meditation kits and online programs for spiritual support.

I am going to be REALLY honest with you. Friendships don't come naturally to me. I have been through a lot of trauma when it comes to friendships and it wasn't until I dug deep and did the hard work this year that I found healing and friendship took a positive turn. If you are in a season where you are struggling to find good friends, I feel you. I get it. But there is so much more for you! You deserve other women in your corner pushing you forward in life. Do the hard work. Heal from the broken friendships. And allow yourself to open up to new ones. It's worth it, friend. I promise you. Let's heal through this together. Let's get ready for the holiday season in an unconventional way. I am not talking about gifts, organizing shopping lists, or clearing the clutter. I am talking about setting the intent for the holiday season.

Before I do anything - literally anything - I set the intent. Setting the intent lays the foundation for what I expect, it brings awareness, and helps me navigate what could happen in a smooth way.

If you feel overwhelmed by the idea of the holiday season or like it is a burden right now, you are not alone. Let's get ahead of those feelings and set the intent for what you want this upcomingseason to look like for you, and for your family.

ADHD - it's not something we talk about enough, especially as moms trying to juggle it all and care for others. We feel a disconnect between what should be working and what isn't, and we continue to ignore it. But what if we faced it straight on? ADHD touches every portion of your life. When you don't address your ADHD you won't ever be successful. You have to acknowledge and embrace it before you can implement action and change in your life to support it. I am so excited to have my friend Patricia Sung on to discuss Motherhood in ADHD. This is something she is not only passionate about, but personally connected to.

*Even if you don't have ADHD, there is so much power in this episode for you!
