You always hear me talking about the power of rituals; how changing your lifestyle, habits, diet, and more can bring great change to your life. I have been on a journey changing things in my life for a few years. It has been incredible! In this conversation, I am joined by Tâmara Castelo to share even MORE about that. From her experience in life to her expertise as a doctor who specializes in Chinese Traditional Medicine, her wisdom is profound in this area. Grab a coffee, matcha, or tea and listen in!
Tâmara Castelo is a specialist in Chinese Traditional Medicine and the CEO of Tâmara Castelo Clinic (Lisbon and Porto), TMC Health, TMC Holistic and TMC Jewellery. At her clinic, Tâmara treats sleep disorders, thyroid disorders, intestine diseases, anxiety, migraines, and hormonal problems, and takes a holistic approach to healing. She is the author of Healing Without Medicine, Eating Without Guilt, and Full Balance—all winners of the Gourmand Awards. Her new book, The Power of Rituals, walks readers through how to determine their biotype and, based on that, create a personal plan with easy, repetitive tasks designed to rebalance sleep, manage stress, reduce anxiety, and end toxic thoughts. She lives in Lisbon.
In this episode Allie + Tâmara discuss:
🧬 What bio-type is and why knowing yours is important to understanding your overall wellness
🧠 How your sub-conscious beliefs impact your body, phyiscally
❤️ The natural ways your body attracts what you need to heal; and practical ways you can work through that trauma to change your life

We are diving into Mental Health today. It is such an important conversation, and I am honored to have Mehri Coutler part of this conversation. She has been incredibly vulnerable with her story online; sharing about her mental health crash. And from that, she has become an advocate and leader online for mental health. One of the biggest steps she took in unlocking her best life was through decluttering her home and mind. There REALLY is a link between clutter and your mental health. I KNOW you are going to love her and receive good things from this conversation. ❤️
Mehri Coulter is the unashamed blogger and Instagrammer behind So Bipolar and is currently building out a new mental health nonprofit, Buffalo Effect. Buffalo Effect works to get tangible resources and support directly into the hands of those navigating their mental health challenges. You may have seen Mehri and her husband on the WebMD Documentary "Married to Bipolar," where they give hope to those living a married life with a mental health diagnosis. Mehri has had the privilege of speaking with thousands of people from around the world about their most intimate details of their lives and mental health because of her own bipolar diagnosis. Mehri has lived the last 6 years of her life thriving, despite her diagnosis.
In this episode Allie + Mehri discuss:
💛 Mehri's mental health journey, her crash, and how she has been rising ever since
🏠 How finding mold in her home led to breakthrough in her mental health (and the health of her daughter)
🤩 The connection between clutter + mental health
➡️ The steps you can take to fight for your mental health

Your thoughts are always your number one job. Think about it. Your thoughts (the ones you think over and over and over) become your beliefs and your beliefs become your reality. That is why it is your MAIN job to own your mind and take your thoughts captive because your mind doesn't run you, YOU run your mind, friend 👏
In this episode Allie discusses:
🤩 How two people can experience the same thing but it can impact them differently
🧠 Your perception is the lens through which you take in your life + how that ultimately comes from your thoughts
❓ Questions you can ask as you work through your thoughts to start taking ownership of them

Recently I had a moment where I said enough was enough. It came after I did one of my incredible breathwork sessions with Erin Kimbrell (she is amazing). I reazlied I was holding onto something that was NOT benefiting me. Want to know what it was??
Listen in babe, because I know this wasn't just a moment for me, but for you too. Please carry this episode with kindness as I open up in vulnerable ways to you ❤️
In this episode Allie discusses:
💛 What self-punishing is and how she was doing it without realizing
🤩 Patterns that repeat in your life come from somewhere that is not benefiting you
💫 Practical ways you can break through those patterns that are not benefitting you

We're wrapping up the Hey Allie! series and we are throwing it BACK in this conversation! Daniela joined me and wanted to know all about our time living and traveling full-time in a camper. That was such a special season in our family journey and I was SO excited when Daniela wanted to talk about this! Kind of makes me want to do the camper life again 😉

This next conversation in the Hey Allie! series is really good. Alyssa is a faithful member of my community and she asks such good questions about upleveling + outsourcing things in your life.
Before you listen, let me encourage you friend. You are worthy of upleveling and outsourcing. Outsourcing things means you can be a better you; for your family, your business, your spouse, and your life. The legacy of your family should be at the forefront of your mind. Stepping into a new level and choosing to outsource areas you need support in, will only further that legacy.

I am SO excited to kick off a mini-series for the next 4 episodes called Hey Allie! I sat down with 4 women from my audience to talk about specific topics, giving them the opportunity to ask me anything! It's a reverse-style interview series — which was SO fun to record. I love connecting with you guys!
For the first episode in the series, I am chatting with Stacey Hudson. She is a Type B person who realllyyy wants to keep her shit together to run a business. We talk about confidence, fear of the unknown, how to get organized when you are naturally messy, and so much more.
In this episode Stacey asks Allie:
Stacy has a FREEBIE for you!!
She has compiled a Mompreneur Playlist of the best entrepreneur guests that have been on her show, the Mother Plus Podcast. Head to motherplusser.com/PurposeShow to tune in!

Welcome to a new segment on the podcast! You know that one friend you have the BEST conversations with? That is Lauren for me. We will sit and talk for hours, laugh, cry, make jokes, and just get one another. So I asked her to join me as a co-host for a segment on the show; Allie and Lauren Talk _______.
Today's first topic is friendship — we are not meant to do life alone. Friendships are vital, as women, mothers, business owners ... as humans. So Lauren and I are going to share how we became friends, why it is important to be intentional with your friendships, how to nurture your friendships well, and how to love one another through your differences.
I am SO excited about this new segment! I hope you enjoy our organic, real, and fun conversations!
